Home / Living over Loss
New initiative · 2026A 12-week cohort for those carrying grief that doesn't hand itself back easily, built from Nancy's caregiver years, written for the long after.
Why this exists
After Dan died, the casseroles stopped. The cards stopped. The text messages stopped. The grief did not. We made Living over Loss for the part of grief that nobody warns you about, the long, quiet after, when the people around you have moved on and you're still standing in the same kitchen wondering how to be.
It's not therapy. It's not a support group, exactly. It's a cohort of people in similar territory, walking together with Nancy as facilitator, for twelve weeks, with a clear shape and no pretense of resolution.
The 12-week arc
Naming what you've lost, what you didn't expect to lose, and where you actually are right now.
Reading, writing, and conversation about the chapters of grief no one teaches you to expect.
Practices that let you keep moving without pretending you've moved past it. This is the heart of the work.
A close that doesn't pretend to be an ending. A plan for the year you walk into next.
“I came in thinking I needed to be fixed. I left having been listened to. That turned out to be different and better.”Pilot cohort participant, 2025
Practical questions
Next cohort opens January 2026
We send one email when the cohort opens. That's it. No newsletter, no fundraising drip.
